The Ghost Houses; or, Any Port in a Storm

Every journey contains in its a definition a concept of home — whether traveling towards or away. These quirky houses each stand a bit off-kilter on mismatched legs, as if braced against wind and waves, distorting each form into a unique personality. Yet their wrappings of plaster and gauze imply a history of things broken and repaired, and a healing that is still in progress. Both whimsical and ghost-like, they can only offer a temporary respite for the weary traveler.
